 If an
airplane is a tool you utilize regularly, then you surely have been
stuck on the ground waiting for the clouds to clear. The instrument
rating allows a pilot to file, fly, and operate in the IFR (instrument
flight rules) environment while not having to worry about cloud
clearances and visibility.
As an instrument rated pilot, you can:
-
Operate in the IFR system
-
Travel in all types of airspace - even class A
-
Fly
into almost any airport you desire, including those served by
airlines.
-
Plan on making the departure or arrival on time and
not have to wait for clouds to clear
We standardize our training by using the Jeppesen
training materials for ground and air instruction, incorporating printed
and video materials. We also utilize training materials from a variety
of sources such as the Federal Aviation Administration, King Schools,
ASA, and Cessna aircraft.
During your training for your instrument rating, you
will be exposed to the world of IFR flight. No matter if you are a
Cessna flying for personal reasons or an airliner flying passengers, the
IFR system integrates you all. In the instrument course, you will cover:
-
Basic Attitude Instrument Flying
-
Meteorology and Weather
-
Navigation via ground and space based systems
-
Usage of the Air Traffic Control IFR System
-
Flying instrument approaches
